You know what's funny? Yesterday I had Sergey on my OW and today I didn't. I think I accidentally deleted him on the day the qual went out. So maybe I just wasn't supposed to have it.

One time I wanted Dirty Rice but I was 10 and had no idea how to cook so I just put meat and rice seasoning and rice in a skillet and turned it on and went outside and almost burned the house down.

I'm slightly more responsible now. I usually don't leave things on the burners unattended. I did drop spaghetti on the burner today and it made the kitchen smell gross.

I missed out but it's not a clique thing. There was lots of discussion. They were just lucky. It's all about being in the right place at the right time. If I were lucky enough to catch the qual hits, I would immediately jump in and do them before posting anything. Not to be selfish but because good quals never last long. I don't have a lot of time to spend on this forum but I do skim through every post so that I don't miss out. Sorry that you missed it, but we are in the same boat and there will be other quals. I attempt to qualify for everything; because you never know what will come up.

Worst for me was a pan of simmering beans. I took a quick 'nap' and woke up several hours later to the fire alarm for the whole building going off, a smoke-filled kitchen, a ruined beautiful Dutch oven pan and a bit later some nice firefighters at my door checking on me before they turned the alarm off. Boy was I embarrassed!
