Oh yeah, my kids do stuff like that. My oldest asked once when she was young if she could have an oatmeal creme pie. I said no, it's junk. She said "But mom eats oatmeal for breakfast all the time!"

So... those are the same thing I guess...

i think you can contact his employer/HR and get some more details on the garnishment order, then go from there to find out who to talk to about it.

sounds like when mine were little too. could eat all day long.
or saying theyre hungry before bed so they can stay up and eat. i'd usually just give the option of a protein since its more filling!

As someone that had been in a similar situation, in some states, you can file with the court forms stating that the garnishment amount is creating an economic hardship and you can file to have it stopped or decreased.

Also, garnishment can last for as long as it needs to until the total amount due on the final judgement is paid. If they told you one timeframe and it still puts you under the judgement amount, you are gonna be paying until complete.

As for mine, we were paying over the judgement amount because it took almost 6 weeks for the company to provide letters to the employer and also the courts to state that garnishments had been completed. Then they sent us a check six more weeks later for any overages that were paid.

I personally wouldn't sign anything with the company unless I knew every step of what I was getting into. Check with your local court and see if there is something that you can file to help or check with a local legal help non profit agency. Sometimes courts cannot assist because it is against state laws (like in my state)
