For me personally, I've always been depressed because of a certain problem (got rejected by a girl, got fired from a job, can't find a good job, parents think i'm a failure) . And I believe the best way to get over it, is to solve that problem (find someone new, get a better job, improve my life).

Once again, its just me personally, but I don't want to be ok with having a problem and not wanting to solve it. I imagine myself being on the edge of a cliff hanging there. I'd want to pull myself up, rather than taking meds and forcing my brain to be ok with me hanging off a cliff.

I agree. Sometimes the meds are the only way to get back on the cliff and carry on! Hence how I put in the example of how I am off of them now

I'm constantly trying to solve my problems - which heightens the anxiety unfortunately. Dealing with both can be a huge struggle for me. Right now my big depressants are that my significant other of 5 years, who made substantially more than me, left me, in the end essentially because I wasn't good enough. I lost my home, my reliable vehicle, and my heart. So now I work full time, part time, and try to turk in any other hours, and also trying to side hustle pet/farm sitting because I am so broke. But doing all of that constantly causes severe anxiety. It's fun.
