One of my pet peeves. I've never been a server, but I do leave the area neat, esp. after my child or nieces. Can't stand seeing the other families letting their kids make complete messes and not be the slightest respectful of the establishment/staff.

Digging mac and cheese out of a gross carpet 12 times a day gets real old. "Would you like that on the table? Or shall I just pour it on the floor for you, Madame?"

I was a server and bartender for years. And people are either like yourself or the total opposite. I would be mortified to leave an area like that. But it is like Jerami said, as a server we know the drill. Our gang would leave work about 3am on weekends and we would all go out to a 24 hour joint. The waitress loved our large group of service workers, she knew that every one of us would leave at least a ten and times that by a group of 10-15...and we were still neat!

it was horrible for me. it sticks out as probably the hardest time turking I've had since then. like week 4 of dec and week 1 of jan.

Just watching this vid is restful. I did for about 20 seconds and noticed that my breathing slowed down a bit. Neat!

I’ve got some more of those in my “arsenal” for when I’m feeling overwhelmed or anxious. I’ll dig them up and put them in the sad panda thread.

Mine too. I even try to keep it clean as best as I can. You never know what kind of day they are having and getting crap pay and depending on tips.
