my ex texted me tonight saying that there are two different birthday parties for new friends that my kid wants to go to.
she asked if it's alright that I don't get my kid this weekend.

...it's tough being a dad when you are fully aware there will be days when your kid wants to hang out with friends, sleepovers, etc..

On Christmas, I get my nails done burgundy instead of black, to appease my aunt because she despises the black. How's that for expectation!

Red is played out. I actually stick with blues and purples if I'm not going with black or grey, which are like my go-to colors.
