These surveys really need to stop treating the Dem and Republican parties as two sides of the same coin. One is hard-hard right and the other is centrist right. Progressives have no place in either, and DAMN sure not in the middle.

Also, when are we going to stop using "liberal?" I do think it's the right term, but it's been poisoned to such a degree that "progressive" is much easier to use in the proper context.
