This is my first time looking for hiking boots. Up 'till now I've been using regular tennis shoes, but they hurt my ankles sometimes because of the exposed plastic on the back of them at my heel - I've had them for like 10 years.

Those are really really good boots! good price also! You cannot see them in my avatar but I was wearing vasque double boots on my way to climb Chaos Glacier in Rocky Mountain National Park.. That was decades ago and I still have and can use them. Good boots can last a lifetime.
