My local spot has a good rewards program as well and the staff is awesome. I do tip and buy food occasionally as well. I've gotten free pastries just for being there at close too. Go to the best spot for you.

When I lived in a different state, I used to go to neighborhood coffee shop for multiple hours a day, and if I was there at closing time (and I often was...) I would often end up getting a bagful of whatever I wanted. I think Starbucks has rules against that though.

I think someone caught this and just has it at the back of their queue since it has a five hour timer. But it is JUST a payment hit for a separate survey that you get by email.

also county libraries. And many community colleges here have 24 hour study rooms that people go in round the clock, free wifi, warm room.
