My friend showed me Aldi one night and I dont go shopping anywhere else anymore. The savings are really, really good compared to other places.

Yeah but their store brand is kinda gross. Price match them at Wal-Mart with the great value brand. Saves tons of money but you still get quality stuff.

normally what I do is go the commissary at a somewhat near but still far as fuck air force base once every couple months and stock up on dry goods, buy everything else at a local mexican supermarket. Meat is a shitload cheaper there and just as good, hell the butchers know my name and greet me like a long lost brother half the time.

The closest one to me is 35 miles away... Not sure it's worth the drive when I have like 4 different Super Walmarts less than 5-10 miles from my house. I do hate Walmart though... How does it compare price wise to Walmart?

Aldi's prices are really cheap, cheaper than walmart but it is not the same products, Say you are looking for Cheez-its, they will have a generic knock off that is very similar but will not taste just like the real thing. It is about 1/2 the price though.

The extreme couponers that she was talking about take it to the next level though. Most of the stuff they do require the manager to be there because the cashier has to scan like 50 different coupons that all combine in different ways. They get hundreds of bucks in groceries for pennies.

My cousin does this. I love saving money but it's ridiculous. She talks about it and i'm like, "congratulations. you now have 25 gallons of Tide for only $20 and 38 bottles of shampoo for $5. Too bad you spent $30 in gas and $50 in newspapers just to find enough coupon flyers to get that discount."

Actually, a LOT of their store brand stuff are name brand items in different packaging. Not all, but a lot of them.

My dad owns a food photography business and does a lot of photography for Aldi.

Heat damages/breaks down caffeine. Plus it would gunk up your coffee maker. You could do it with a pour thru, like chemex.
