why has amazon prime shipping gone to shit over the last couple of months?

Nothing I've ordered from amazon has ever been late in years, but over the last couple months, most stuff I order ends up being late.

For me it's been the delivery services they use. Amazon Flex, which uses regular drivers to deliver stuff, has been garbage for me. OnTrac doesn't deliver anything but constant disappointment.

When they deliver stuff through USPS, I never have a problem.

I've also noticed their two day shipping has lately become "two days for the package to travel...but we won't be shipping it for another 3 days, so you'll get it in 5" which is not quite what I think it was supposed to mean

Its been the opposite for me. Last time the USPS delivered an amazon package they put an empty damaged parcel in my box. Like WTF? You could easily tell there was nothing in the open box.

Yeah the Amazon delivery people are really hit or miss here. Pretty much all the prime delivery issues I've had this year have been because of them. USPS seems to drag packages behind the trucks, but they at least bring what survives to my building.

As of late USPS has taken to dumping all the packages for our 6 unit apartment in a pile near apartment 1 and letting us shuffle through it to see if anything is ours.
