Regarding prolific - pound is dropping this morning. Does that mean more or less surveys? It means the dollar buys more pounds, right?

it means the dollar can buy more pounds, or the pound can buy less dollar.
it's relation to survey quantities within prolific, though, i don't understand what you mean
plus, it's barely dropped at all - it's been in this range for quite some time. around $1.30-$1.33 to the £

I'm wondering if they mean is the requester more likely to buy more survey allotments, meaning it can be cheaper for the task, and therefore more people can participate.

but
most of the opening briefings say things like "you are one of three thousand lucky participants, should you decide to partake in this study" - usually nice even round numbers
