(This may be fueled by the fact that about a month ago I was woken by a very large centipede falling on my face. It was cold and crawled into my hair. I cried.)

How can you take a person seriously who wears their underwear on the street? And in those colors? Superheroes seem to have a poverty of taste.

The only superhero I can take seriously is Frozone from The Incredibles

The whole point is to stand out, or cause fear in Batman's case. They are supposed to be a beacon of hope, and you don't hide beacons.
