*thorough effort*I'm about to send this to a requester that posted a follow up HIT from a month ago. Can someone read it, and make sure it's coherant, please and thank you?
"It looks like between when I took this survey and now your Turkopticon score has taken a nose dive. I'm seeing multiple listings of people being rejected for completing the task in less than "half the time of the average person takes". Is this still a factor in your HITs. I ask because as a semi-professional turker, the only way that we can make more than minimum wage is by being faster than "the average person". As an example, if I'm expected to take near 15 minutes to complete the HIT listed above, I would be making roughly $6 an hour which is criminal. Most of us know how to do things more efficiently as shown by the 19 minutes it took me to fully complete (and with dedicated and through effort) your last HIT which was estimated to take 45 minutes.
I'm hesitate to complete this follow up hit as it may be rejected because I'm not, nor are a lot of the really good workers here, an average person.
If this is no longer the case, and speed does not play a factor into the acceptance/rejection of the HIT, please let me know and I will be more than happy to do this work for you."
also hesitant not hesitate
