I had an issue with my account and their first response was create a new account. I didn't want to do that because I had quals and I had stats and I went through getting automated emails every 48 hours for about 14 days. My account was not suspended but I could not access it. I don't think Amazon is very responsive. I spoke with someone every day and every day they had no idea what Mturk was. I asked daily to speak to a supervisor. I was told daily that there was no one in the MTurk department, but they could email for me. That produced yet another automated email which had absolutely nothing to do with my issue. Every time, I was asked in the email, did this solve your problem. Every time, I chose NO.

If I were Mordea, I would create a new account and start from scratch while also dealing with crazy people at Amazon every day that have no clue what we do on a daily basis.

His account is tied to his SS# - so he couldn't start it that way. I don't know how people get a tax id number - so I don't have any input on that. I've heard of other work-arounds, but they are people being sort of creative with the account and it's not necessarily legit

When Amazon told me to start a new account, I would have used the same SS number. So, I guess this is another example of them not knowing what the hell they were talking about.
