I always have turked during the day for the last year or so, messed up my sleep schedule tonight, so I guess I'm turking at night tonight. Tell me how bad it is using only a gif and a emoji please. When I first started I did it at night and I was always making like $15.

Noted, thanks for the advice. I'll have to try some out. I started with transcript and couldn't make money, but I probably suck, so, there's that.

I've been working on trying to get transcription going...unfortunately I'm not very good, but would like to go back to practicing again. You rock.

I don't get this. What transcription requester? I've tried and maybe I'm not the fastest transcriber but the audio seems never ever consistently good enough to make regular money on even if I could transcribe lightening fast.

they use like pedals and stuff to help control the audio - stop/FF/REW I think

just think, if you could pause, rewind, etc with your foot while you're still typing, wouldn't that be easier?


what I don't understand about it, though, is if you REW/FF, aren't you changing the focus of the window, and interrupting the typing anyway?

I've worked for Speechpad. What kind of hourly do the good ones there make regularly? I couldn't make it work for me, same as the others it just seemed like too low pay for the audio being too inconsistent. Maybe I need pointers or something lol.

You have to do a lot of hours of the lower paying stuff to get to the higher paying & you can’t mess up or let your score drop
It kinda stinks for a while but worth it in the end.

Thanks both. I see now, gotta do high quality drudge work to move up to better stuff. I'll keep it in mind, it's always good to have another money avenue just in case. And maybe I need a pedal lol.

Haven't done that for a while, but living with roomies, the washing machine can get competitive and she will just move it for me haha
