Had a panic inducing morning as my computer shut off during the night and would freeze on booting after the Windows logo, and startup repair couldn't fix it. Turns out I installed the wifi adapter I got at Christmas into the wrong socket. I have no idea why it worked at all, let alone this long, but on the plus side my internet is actually a fair bit faster now.
