I have a full time job with a local municipality. The cost of living is insane. rent (by yourself) is 50-75% of my paycheck. i'm still stuck with friends (and the situation is going downhill very fast) and struggling to find a place to live. I do spend $200/month on petfood. but still. housing shouldn't be 50-75% of ones paycheck.

I also spend 10-20 hours a week on a farm, paying for my horse's life. There unfortunately no getting a better job, as I have been looking and applying for years. Too many people here.

Edit: had the pets when with ex who made 3x I do. Wouldn't have gotten them if I wasn't in a situation with owning a house and stuff.

Sorry. You are right about rent.

probably not with all the supplements they would need, especially cats. And I can only eat for $200 or less personally if I don't drink anything other than water and not eat vegetables....
