This is kinda how I feel about surveys, yet I keep doing them.

But I never felt the guilt from those actions like I felt the guilt from this.

I wondered if somehow I messed up and didn't pay, but I don't think the gas machine would dispense gas if your card didn't go through since it requires pre-payment. I don't know!

Is it possible it somehow used another person's card/transaction? Like maybe the last person to use it didn't clear it out? Idk. That's really odd.

I don't think so, since I remember doing all the steps at the beginning to swipe the card, select debit, enter my PIN, select the pump, etc.
