What is this, I've killed three of them in the bathroom today. I'm hoping the answer is "Definitely not a wasp, but a harmless flying thing that will not murder you in your sleep.

You're in the South, right? It looks kind of like the mud daubers we had in NOLA, which are a species of wasp, but usually not aggressive.

Bugs fucking love the bathroom. It's dark, it's got a constant water supply, there's a shitload ([eta] punintentional) of food (soap scum, skin flakes, mould, other bugs, etc) and it's not constantly in use.

We keep getting wasps in the bathroom too. Turns out they built a nest in the exhaust fan, which really needs to go ASAP
I think they like perfumey smells, like shampoo, room spray, etc.
