I love toddlers but I do NOT want to do the infant stage again. If I could just hand 'em off until they're about a year old, that'd be great.

And the topper..he never really even mentions her being pregnant, being a dad, anything it's like he just ignores it like it doesn't exist. My girlfriend thinks he wants no part of it and that's why he's acting that way...

that's also pretty normal. he's probably scared, which isn't abnormal no matter how old the expectant parent is.

My biggest thing with where I think the issue will come is how much they bicker and I'm expecting him to do about nothing to help her...he's one of those guys. And they both have major attitudes so cooler heads never prevail.

There are all walks of life that use MTurk as either main income, supplemental income or discretionary income. With that ... all types of professions (including me, a nurse who works a 'real' 40hr/wk job from home) We also have several business owners here on the forum (whether they have a photography business, landscaping, art studio, etsy shop, etc) ... so it's not out of the realm of possibilities that a requester is looking for a niche demographic. Not everyone who turks is scraping pennies together.

It took me a long time to get there if it makes you feel better. You really have to take advantage of all the knowledge that people who've been doing it longer post on boards like this one. Mturk has a pretty steep learning curve, especially if you don't have a ton of time to devote to it.

[ shaking head ] I try and get at least twenty a day but sometimes don't make even that [sigh ]. Have been Turking for two years and am somewhat depressed about not being able to do better. And I just can't seem to get the hang of batches.
