I made that mistake in 2015. You will get NO windows phone tests.

I mentioned android because thats just what I have experience with. I got an android phone and my usertesting window was dinging off the hook with tests.

The good lord has not blessed me with a random 500-1000 dollars, so I can't get an iphone and do the iphone tests.

I usually tell people to run out and get an android phone for usertesting because I know you can get one for like 30-40 bucks and make the money back quickly if u just turn on its wifi.

I would definitely recommend something like @A6_Foul_Out mentioned though, over the 5. I have the 5, because I hate the size of the newer models, and I'm cheap. When I upgrade, it will likely be to the iPhone SE, as the SE retained the size and form factor/design of the iPhone 5, yet it has the hardware that's on par with the 6, AFAIK.

$119 recertified on New Egg, probably less on CL. For the SE, that is. I use just the original iPhone 5, those can be hard dirt cheap in some cases.
