decided to try out some p9r hits today to get my numbers up.. did two initially. both got approved. Did a third and three of the five photos didn't have any characters to transcribe. A few minutes after I submit I get my first rejection...

Message them if you weren't in the wrong. I always did and got my rejections reversed.

I would also avoid them. They're very well known to reject. Not the greatest requester for building numbers.

Yes..that too. lol! I had really good luck with them. All my 14 rejections came from others.
But best to be leery of p9r

Two of my definitely un-deserved rejections were from them. It was years ago and they admitted it was their error, but they claimed that they couldn't be reversed, so they bonused me for my trouble. Still sour about it.

Hey guys, new-ish guy here. What's the maximum number of HITs I can have active in hit catcher without negatively affecting my chances of catching them? Also, is there another script I can run in conjunction with MTS that would increase my chances of catching hits?

I always just do a few if I need to reach a goal.
No more than 20 a day lol

Its kinda embarrassing. Matt Lerner who I usually love doing his hits.. I guess they are getting pickier on there data they need. I just provided the solution links not type the names like I use too before. I guess they want both. Still a great requestor and totally my fault . Just that damn timer is 8mins and it makes me feel like im missing out on a lot of profit.

Hey, it happens. I am expecting a reject from the new vacation rental qual I got. If not a revoke all together. Parts of the hit are not on the qual test and I misinterpreted the proof section and added a screen shot of the parcel id page so.....yeah, live and learn. Most people will just swear they did nothing wrong and leave a bad review, especially on that many. Will he let you fix them maybe?

Yeah, a lot of people still do them. Like @CrazyCatLady said, they are responsive about reversing rejections. But their grading system just seems exceptionally error-prone, and I'm not sure if it's really worth dealing with (at least it wouldn't be for me.) Also, reddit isn't known for providing the best advice.

I think the majority of us do 1 or 2 at a time. if you go ham it will only look for 1. I never go over 5 on a slow day that I'm not pushing really hard because the more you have running the less likely you are to catch.

How do you decide which is most likely to come up again first?

You really can't. If I am working certain batches I try to catch them through Panda's and others I work with the auto accept next hit feature. For other types of hits i prioritize and run the one I want to catch the most. That often comes down to the reward and at other times it might be an important qual hit. But you can't know when or even if the hit/s will be caught.
