Oh, no! Just in case you weren't aware, there are allergy shots that are pretty effective if you're willing to try them. I'm only mildly allergic, so I can get by with just washing my hands and using hypoallergenic wipes (which make my kitty's fur super shiny, too.) But we adopted my kitty from a really nice person who found out he was deathly allergic to 99% of kitty litter... and the other 1% my kitty wouldn't use But he was super sweet (and I'm sure you are, too) and I hold no judgement!

Regarding the anti-allergen medicines, generics can be bought at places like Costco in large bottles for very cheap. Cetirizine is Zyrtec, Fexofenadine is Allegra, and Loratadine is Claritin.
