It does happen to me seems to only happen when my Internet service is unstable. Also, Amazon will ask me to sign in again when I am using a different ISP.
Same two things seem to happen and for me I think it's all Internet service related.

I somehow made Earnings: $2.70 this morning when all last week that was a real battle to get that far.
Thanks for the HITs @jan ! Much appreciated.
I think using PC to catch the HITs posted here works far better and faster obviously than what I did before.
So now if I could just get stable Internet service I can maybe actually earn some money this week!

Qual HIT. Not my type of HIT and prob garbage but

ran out of time on the qual HIT, I sent them a message telling them it might be a good idea to add more time on the HIT so slower workers could have a chance at finishing it and also not feel rushed and possibly do a bad job, but it kinda looks like it might be a bad paying task anyways
