yeah, way less maintenance, waste, and it's easier to not fuck things up. I have a side-box pellet smoker at my moms place, and its more hassle than its worth.

It's the other way around for me. I wish it was a habit, but I kinda loathe turking and have to force myself to do it every day. Unfortunately, I'm stuck having to do it for the foreseeable future, but if I suddenly didn't have to for whatever reason, I would be overjoyed.

Thanks. I just tried that, and nada. I guess I'll pitch it back and get 10 bucks somewhere else, maybe, hopefully.

I threw it back too...the directions vs what was asked just seemed like a real chance to get rejected...way too convoluted and complex for $10 imo

Understandable. I couldn't imagine doing it full time, I just do it for the side -- so I feel weird on days when I take off, time feels empty. I also think not coming to this forum would be odd. And it's only bee a year of doing it for me.

No, I'm useless in the real world. I think about the opposite, if something were to happen and I didn't have this. I'm working really hard on getting to where I don't depend on turking. But it's not working b/c I suck. So I'm kinda always in a panic about what would happen if I wake up tomorrow and can't turk.

lol it's definitely love hate for me. By nature i'm not a person that does nothing well, i obsessively fill every moment of every day, so this has been a profitable way to fill my time and quell my anxiety.

Once I pay off my huge credit card, I won't *need* to turk to make ends meet, but I'm moving on to building my savings and paying off my car much quicker than the loan. It was so helpful the past year when I needed it to make ends meet and have a tiny bit of fun on the side to get through grief.

I just bought an electric cabinet smoker that uses chips from Aldi for $100....way easier and less hands on...still gets good smoke flavor into things and clean up is a breeze....
