I get that. I'm trying to post on of my images, a screenshot, so I have to upload it to an online server and then link it to the post. Well, it shows up broken every time.

Yeah I get how to do it. I have an image on my hard drive that I want to post. So I've been uploading it to either google drive or imgur which provides me with an image link. When I put the image link in the post, just as you described, it comes out a broken icon. It's really frustrating.

It works the same way for any image that is online. It should work from imgur, I just grabbed that funny photo to use an example. It appears you're posting the wrong bit of info in the image box.

If you're using the image box here, just paste the info from imgur that is in the image link box on imgur. If you grab the link from the
BBCode (message boards & forums) box on imgur, don't use the image link box on this forum. Just paste that directly into the text box.

If your'e pasting the BBCode in the box that might be the problem because it seems like an extra IMG tag is causing the issue.

I do it for two reasons. First, it's nice to see how others are doing for motivation, or commiseration on bad weeks. Posting my own earnings is only fair.

More importantly, on some other turking communities mostly high earners post their earnings. That gives a distorted view of what many (semi-)active people are making. I almost always post regardless of how little I made that week. Hopefully that encourages more people to share if they want to.

This right here. I think psychologically it helps people to have an accurate view of the true middle ground. If you only see people with hundreds of dollars you start to feel as though you are doing something wrong, or just bad about yourself in general. Also, I like the priveledge of knowing what others are making, so I should be transparent as well. It really helps on a 40$ week to know if it was me or if it truly was a slow week. Seeing that Jane Doe who normally makes 600 made 265 still helps even if I made 40, because it was slower for everyone overall. It also motivates me when I can see that clearly I was the one with the issue.
