We're about to drive 7 hours with the kids on saturday to NC for vacation so I'm thinking.. berries, cooked sliced chicken (over broc slaw salad for the adults), PBJs, oatmeal-banana-raisin cookies, hardboiled eggs, cheese snacks, various puffs and crackers...my list:
cucumbers, zucchini, broccoli, chicken, baggies, yogurt.

Yeah we have draconian liquor laws... only recently grocery stores have been allowed to sell alcohol (you have to pay at a separate register), but it's very expensive (can be up to 200k I think?)

Same here -- you can sample beer and wine at our Kroger stores. They have an actual bartender with a bar and tables and chairs200k?
You can sample wines in the store at HEB.
