mturk was clue number 1what is wrong with you people
mturk was clue number 1what is wrong with you people
This is basically how I feel about where I grew up (Long Island, NY). It's totally changed from when I was growing up, and when I visit, I don't really recognize half the places cause they've just changed so much. The cost of living was always high but now it's even higher, the population has gone way way up, and a lot of the things that made it homey and fun growing up have vanished completely (it's gone way more annoying chain busiess and less eccentric home owned type stuff). But, I've met plenty of people who love it now that didn't grow up there. I think that has A LOT to do with things for some folks on top of just stuff like personal preference, point in your life, jobs, hobbies, etc. I can't imagining living in a different area here. I love visiting the Bay Area and hiked in a lot of beautiful places, but I would FOR SURE not live there. Where I am now is full of crazy mountain townies, and we kinda like it that way lol. It was a little off putting at first, but I've basically morphed into one. I can smell the outsiders now as soon as they cross the town line.I think it also depends where you're from. Some areas of California are changing much more rapidly than others. Much of the San Jose area, where I spent most of my life, is now unrecognizable to me. I mourn the loss of the places where I grew up because they just simply don't exist anymore. That seems to make it easier for me since I've been gone because I know the places that I miss most would be gone anyway, whether I was still there or not. Now it's just an outrageous cost of living for areas that I have little personal connection with.

Ranch is just basically flavored Mayo.
Pickles are pretty much the worst thing ever. Right next to mayo.
