If anyone has contact info for researchers it may not be a bad idea to send them a link to this forum so they can actually see the real faces of the workers who do their jobs. Maybe it will help calm the current 'bot panic' that is going on after that Wired article last week.

what was the 'bot panic' that you're referring to?
I've seen people mention how bad bots are on mturk, but it was only from snippets of conversations

I haven't had a problem with them yet. You should be fine as long you followed the directions. The ones I've done always take forever to approve and I'm always afraid I've done something wrong, so I tend to only do as many as I can risk, just in case....

I wouldn't say easily. Last time I did 1000, and got 4 rejections which seemed arbitrary. I contacted the requester, but never got a response.

it's been so long since I've been able to sleep in that I'm not sure it's a real thing anymore
