Has anyone here ever gotten burned out from mturks? The last few days I simply cannot bring myself to do any! It's been grueling to say the least and I just feel like I want nothing to do with doing HITs..

Probably close to everyone? It's not exactly good pay, no benefits, and it's never ending (if you don't allow yourself to have breaks). Also, it's easy to take rejections personally.
EDIT: My opinion - take a break, step away from the computer, and do something fun/unwind. Then, come back and grind away (if that's what you want to do).

yes. happens regularly.. used to be more severe when i would spend 16 hours per day (or more at times) doing nothing but mturk so in order to kill that I stopped doing much if any on the weekends. Now that I'm back running again I definitely have 2-3 hours a few times a week I'm away from even the temptation to do anything mturk related.

Its easy to stay motivated when work is steady coming in, But when you've been sitting there for a few hours and only made 5 bucks, things start to get a little irritating. I've also realized the more I stay away from MTURK, the more I don't want to do it.

Speaking of other things to do; the other day my brothers family cleaned the basement and the kids found some old pool noodles and pvc pipe. Cut um up, put em together and walla! Safety swords and a place to use them.

So yesterday we ran around and bought more stuff so we could make different types of toy weapons. I got a foam football from five bellow and drilled a hole into it, put it on the end of a pipe, put a pipe insulator from lowes around the pipe and I now I have a spear. next project is to figure out how to make the plastic chain on a flail safe.

Pretty low cost hobby, good if your dollar tree is carrying pool noodles and stuff for halloween right about now. I'm having fun with the creative and building part. Recommend to anybody with somebody to play with and lacking a physical disability that would keep you from playing.
