If it helps anyone feel better, I went back and checked my weekly earnings from September last year and they were wayyy down all the way until October 1st.
It kind of does, thanks :) I didn't do very much work back then so I can't compare for myself oops

Can't auto-accept what isn't there.
The bot panic is so much worse.
Ehh, there's definitely a lot of juicy work popping today. I just can't catch it lol. I still have a hard time believing it doesn't have some effect - as much as everyone wants to tell me it doesn't.

The bot panic is pretty crap, though. Maybe if Amazon had some other kind of verification method for accounts so people can prove they're legit, we wouldn't be dealing with this madness.

Well Summer ends on the 22th, m-maybe the requesters will come out of the blue with tons of surveys, batches and everything! Peter Burke, Two Lakes and Leonid Sigal will all come back too!

The thing that gets me is that there are a ton of easy ways to detect and deter bots besides captchas. Most notably the honeypot method, in which a requester includes a hidden field in the form so bots will auto populate it. I mean hell, just include a short written question at the end that only a person can answer. "Write a sentence about your favorite type of music and at the end tell us what color the sky is." Done. It's not rocket science. I just have doubts that intelligent researchers would allow that kind of panic that is easily solvable to really impact how they're going about their research that much. The platform is still the most cost efficient way for them to get results.

Those are pretty good ideas, honestly. It would be nice if they had different ways to patrol for bots in their surveys. I don't mind doing the AC's and stuff but it'd be cool if things could go back to how they were before the panic imo.
