No. At her 'hippy' school, when she was little, we were asked to (well, one of us - it was a volunteer thing-y). That paid the teachers 24,000 a year - so a birthday gift was.....well.....not nearly what they needed!

At the end of last year, we chipped in and gave her advisor $100. (I thought he'd like that more than a gift .

That's a great idea! I know that his aide only makes about $20,000 a year, but his special ed teacher herself makes $51,000.
Guess I just wanted to give her something that says thanks. She is with him all day. Now I'm wondering if I should just keep it for myself LOL

I think it's nice. I'd have HIM make the card - that will be meaningful to her (I would think)

I just bought one and had him sign it. Having him sign it was hard enough. He's not interested in coloring or anything like that. THey are working on that in school.

Yes, its beautiful. I stayed right on the beach, like literally across the road from the ocean. It was the best thing ever. I also spent time in Columbia SC and can't say anything nice about it, but its also not coastal, so. Lol
