this CA-only qual is rude! i used to live L.A. and i took this train to-and-from work EVERY DAY for years. no car when i lived in L.A. (idk, i was an idiot apparently?) and i have so many anecdotes/opinions/cautionary tales from these ... "adventures". like the guy dripping blood all over everyone as he HELD HIS OWN TONGUE IN HIS HAND. ((ETA: the tongue was in his hand, which was hanging down by his side. not clasping it while in-mouth. fully disconnected. nowhere near his face. and, yes, it was the entire tongue, no #justthetip bullshit here. you are trying to imagine it, but you can't and that's okay!)) no sense of urgency, just walking uo and down, chillin. he definitely was in shock. no one even noticed what was happening for a few mins. when someone tried to help, he dashed out at the next stop. WTF? and that's only the tip of the iceberg.

also, every time i tell this story, i sound like chanandaler bong "that man is STANDING IN THE WINDOW HOLDING A HUMAN HEAD!!!" so, read it in that voice for full effect.
