Of course that is someone writing it so they may have took it that way. Who knows everyone has an opinion.I work on prolific...They are Oxford University...I kinda doubt that...who knows
I'm ok with thatyou have to be careful inviting turkers to parties
some might come not wearing pants.
one of the job perks that can actually get you into trouble when you forget that you are in a public place shopping and you are not wearing pants.
I remember WAY back in the crowdflower days that an employee told me that people from India/Philippines were scamming them pretty bad. I can't believe Mturk lets anyone form those countries work on MTurk.
Ps Anybody remember Fisher tasks? I used to jump on those, lol.
I'm kind of annoyed I'm missing this Sergey work because I was taking a shit when that qual posted so I missed it...I guess to make money on turk I need to shit my pants.
HELLO Mr. PEACHYRIDER. I was following along in the forum today and noticed you have a blog attached to your profile. I read some of it. HAHA more than 1 reader now! VERHY GREAT INSIGHT! Nice writing!i just feel like you complain a little too much. yes it may be a little bit more of a grind with recent happenings on mTurk, but money can still be made. just have to adapt as best as possible. may not be easy, but the money is still achievable.
Where did you read this? I've only heard one person spreading that rumor rampantly. Yes, it all started with an issue with an inexperienced requester, VPNs causing multiple users from the same IP, and workers(some/most non-native English speakers) scamming. But, I couldn't imagine why it would be Prolific. Most of the batch stuff that isn't posting right now wouldn't be on Prolific anyway. I hate to get into this topic again because the only place that the wrongly named "bot panic" won't die is the forum(and every time someone brings it up, it gains more credibility for no reason other than frequency of mention) but, I'd love to know who's posting the rumor about Prolific, unless it's the same person that I've already ignored. So I just read that apparently Prolific is trying to fuck Mturk by promoting that bots are killing the data and that's why there are less requesters.
Agreed.I work on prolific...They are Oxford University...I kinda doubt that...who knows
I started seeing Christmas trees up and decorated at the Cracker Barrel last week.I changed my avatar as soon as I started seeing pumpkin spice stuff in all the stores. I figured it was time.

Yeah, I was at the grocery store yesterday and noticed they already had white mocha peppermint creamer. I'm really trying not to be trashed off peppermint mocha white russians all the time, this early in the season.I started seeing Christmas trees up and decorated at the Cracker Barrel last week.
Guess it depends what it is, like I'd never do the distribution center because that work sucks.ok so I seriously wanna hear everyone's opinion on Amazon paying everyone that works for them part time and full time 15.00 an hour or more.
Does this change anything for you? When I found out, I was thinking about Whole Foods... I mean, I already work at a grocery store on the weekends...
and then theres amazon customer service, which wasn't shit to me at 10.00 an hour... now it looks almost ok...
even if you make 600 a month on mturk, doing it at job will give you much more free time plus benefits...
what do you guys think?
Have to wear pants. Have to answer to someone. Have to have regular hours. Have to work with people.ok so I seriously wanna hear everyone's opinion on Amazon paying everyone that works for them part time and full time 15.00 an hour or more.

I don't know exactly how Amazon does their distribution center, I've done some other jobs like that and they were all awful. It made me never want to do it again, not to mention I don't know if I can physically do it anymore.Have to wear pants. Have to answer to someone. Have to have regular hours. Have to work with people.
I mean if I needed the money, I'd probably do it. I have a good friend who works at a distribution center and she says she enjoys it... but it's not for me.
