I have only heard about IRB in passing. I don't know really what it is. I'm kind of waiting to see if they reply. Nothing so far. Thanks for the support though

an irb is an institutional review board.
if you're going to do a study and you are in college or affiliated with a school, you must pass your project through the IRB before you do it. Anything involving people goes through an IRB (and animals .
The IRB reviews EVERY part of the study to make certain it's honest, fair, and cannot do harm. (Think about those studies that tested syphilis on men....and never offered treatment. Just 'watched and tested them' as they deteriorated.). The IRB wants to prevent abuse of all kinds. They want subjects to be treated fairly, with respect
Appealing to an IRB gives the researcher - at the very least - a legit headache. They have to go back to the IRB and explain themselves. Perhaps multiple times.

No one wants to be called in front of the board.

The IRB is there to protect you . So, appealing to them, if they are involved, really is pretty effective.

Man, feels slow this morning and I was really not motivated to Turk today anyway. How is everyone else doing?

I tried working a little bit this morning and then decided to take a really long shower. I pretty much decided this whole week is going to be a "holiday" where I grab work if it looks fun.

It also helps that there's nothing to do.

We go to a family members house for thanksgiving but also do a small thanksgiving at our house for just us and for that we have duck and ham

my family usually does ham on christmas

I am going out to eat with my parents for Thanksgiving since I'm the last single sibling left. It's a fairly nice restaurant and I will not be eating Turkey. Then on Friday, I'm cooking a ham for my brother's birthday celebration, which is Saturday. Poor kid has always had his birthday fall right around Thanksgiving.

Not doing bad, took a bit to get motivated after my morning. Had to take the jeep I just got to get looked at, luckily just needs a tune up...waiting at the mechanic shop with three kids and a dog was not so lucky haha but it didn't take long.
