I finally got around to this in my queue and realized why it was so easy to catch - they wanted me to give them email addresses of my co-workers so they could fill out a survey too. LOLNOPE

People seem to have an incredibly antagonistic relationship with requesters that is completely the opposite of my experience. They're great and have paid me a bunch of money.

Well, most requesters use mturk as a way to pay people less than what the work is worth -- which is where I think the antagonistic attitude comes from.

IMO many "good HITs" are only good because a requester overestimates how hard something is/how long it takes (or underestimate how much faster is can be done with the right resources.)

That $7 military hit had a 30-40 time minute estimate, took 5 minutes
So decent survey pay for what they intended, amazing for how it actually panned out
