Looks like your partner is somebody who didn't just qualify yesterday, but was from an older qual batch (this is their first game though, as far as I can tell). I didn't think these people would pick up the games for the first time today as I put out so many yesterday, but I guess I was wrong.
If I change a worker's qual from one value to another, are the HITs in their queue no longer available to them? (Then they would be put in the junior batch).

I completed the qual HIT last night but it's still hanging out in my pending pile. I've only had 7 HITS that I've worked on this weekend approve so far. It's kind of weird. I think I just got used to the quick turn around times from all the Computer Visions I did. It's skewed my perspective on approval times.

I'm not sure about any HITs already in their queue. But they wouldn't be able to accept any new HITs after the qual has been assigned.

If so, it'll be automatically approved in three days (on our side, we should make the auto approval time smaller than the default, sorry we haven't done that already)

Your Follower can only see the most recent command they didn't finish yet -- the one that is marked as [CURRENT]. Once they finish that command, the next unfollowed command will appear to them. So if a command is marked as [NOT SENT], it's in the queue to be sent to them, but they can't see it yet.
I only suggest using [NOT SENT] when you have an additional command to give them (i.e., something new for them to do), rather than reiterating a previous command you made (because otherwise the Follower will have to mark all of your redundant commands as finished separately).
