I think a lot of people are rushing (understandably), I'm just trying to get them done as accurately as I can and it seems to be working (cross fingers), but I'm not getting as many done as some people are saying. I read everything at least twice.

I think you may be on to something. It seemed like he revoked on the last task based on speed. I read instead of scan on these hits. My hourly is still decent though.

Hi all! So I got an email from Rowan today saying he spot checked and he revoked my qual (went from a 9 to a 1). I've been picking the responses that I honestly felt were the best just as the instructions state so I'll be shooting him an email to see what happens. Just be careful
This is what happens. When requesters struggle to articulate what they're looking for so that they have to come back and amend the directions to their HITS repeatedly, it can be pretty much guaranteed that the rules will get changed, and changed again, pretty much at random. When the burden is put on the worker to intuit what the requester wants, rather than the requester taking it upon themselves to make it clear what they want...I've just never seen that be entirely good.

Don't think you were here when I posted about it before ricey @Ricey so don't worry if that doesn't make sense to you. I'm sorry that this happened to you.

edited to add - speed shouldn't make a difference if accuracy is steady

My mind doesn't work like his so I'm like oh wellll
That just shouldn't be a requirement to work for someone. It still bothers me.

Now I'm nervous... what was your ratio or percentage correct?
Last one I received said 80%. According to his disclaimer: don't worry about perfectly telling apart AI vs. human endings. There's some ambiguity, and what I'm looking for is to tell which AI endings humans prefer. (That way, we can reward the AI for generating sensible endings!) For that reason, it doesn't help me if you cherry pick the easy ones - just do your best, and don't guess wildly :)
Sooo...if someone prefers the AI endings on some of these wouldn't that be what he is looking for anyway?

That's exactly what I sent him. I said I thought that that's what he was looking for... still waiting for a reply.

For what it's worth, I don't do the Rowans. But I do believe in the saying, "If you want something done right, do it yourself." I don't begrudge him for requiring a very specific style of work that matches what he would do himself. Especially because he's a very approachable/engaging requester and we could use more of them!
