I personally think they staple our usernames as strips of paper to a wooden fence and the ones the goat ignores don't get emails and the ones the goat eats get emails.

I didn't get an email from CVT which sucks. I have done so many hits from them and never received a soft ban. I hope that I am still going to be able to do their HITS as that's how I have made money this week.

If you never got softbanned and didn't get the email, and I got softbanned twice and got the email twice... I think you're probably good and he just wants to strike fear into the hearts of those of us he deems inferior lol

yeah seems kinda crazy for ones that were never banned to not get the message
I wonder if some of the ones that were soft banned after doing 2 or 3 HIT's into that first batch got the email?

Hi All,

Going forward all Computer Vision Turk hits will require qualifications. If you are
receiving this message then you will be granted qualification soon.

Some things to keep in mind:
1. Your performance across HIT types is tracked. In general, if you have been granted
qualification you were doing great in one or more HITs.
2. We will review qualifications periodically and revoke them in cases we find
work not matching our expectations.
3. This qualification system reduces the overall workforce by a factor more than 10!
This means less competition for you.
4. Soft-bans will last longer as you might have noticed. So please be extra careful.
Time between new batches can vary from 1 week to 1 month.
5. There will be a lot of HITs in the coming months (like previous months). So
please don't try to game the system. The system is setup to reward great workers like
you the exclusive opportunity of more work.

Finally, thanks a lot for continuing to work on the HITs and providing feedback to
improve. Really appreciate all the hard work you put into the HITs.

Was just trying to see if anyone got the email about receiving a qual both times. If no one received both, then I am hoping that this new email is for the same qual that was given out last time, and since we already have it = no email.

But who knows what is going on.. might just be completely random.
