Actually since it was in the middle of the night I had to use Gina's shitty laptop on wi-fi otherwise I would be up a considerable amount more.

But yea lagged to shit instantly at 3am it's definitely not the amount of people on it anymore, the servers are completely just fucked up beyond belief.

The allure of buying a brand new Dell computer is the fact that you're getting a pre-built and you don't need to worry about the nuts and bolts of putting together a system yourself. A faster computer that is just as reliable could be built for half the price or less, but you'd spend time researching parts, buying them all seperately, and then putting everything together yourself.

To me personally, paying 800-1000 bucks for a pre-built Dell is absolutely not a good deal and as such I would not consider those prices to be a good deal. If you can stomach the thought of buying a used Dell however, you could absolutely score a great deal since computers depreciate in value in an eye-blink.

Agree. I've pieced together a more than capable compact home PC for right at $300 excluding purchase of an OS. Not physically yet but I've got all the pieces in my cart on Newegg. Computers are Lego's for adults as far as assembly goes.

Yeah, the actual assembly of a PC is super easy; I like your "Lego's for adults" analogy.

Researching and choosing parts is definitely a bit trickier; you have to make sure all the parts want to play together on the same team before you assemble them for the big game.
