I had an Israeli landlord who just called everyone honey whether they were male or female. I say we just go with that. If it's a term of endearment who cares. Even if it's a pronoun based upon biology I'm really hard up to see how that is offensive.
Some people just really love to be "offended" I think.
Was the landlord a dude or a chick? I'm laughing pretty hard imagining an Israeli dude calling everyone honey.

I thought the point of pronouns was to simplify conversations when referring to a person. I think it's a little much, to try and find out what gender someone identifies with before you know how to reference them properly. My 2 cents. Sorry. Not trying to offend anyone. Just seems pointless. I had a Vietnamese friend who called everyone she due to his lack of fluency in English. I was never offended.
thats a pointless way to try to convince someone to use genderless pronouns. Most of the time you know the person or see the person or know of the person so you would know their genetic gender. I have no problem with using them if someone really wants me to, but i am a lot easier to convince than 75% of the rest of the population

I use whatever I'm asked to use. My friends that have asked that I use gender-neutral pronouns are not offended by someone for whom English is not a native language being confused, it's only when someone refuses to use the preferred pronoun that hurt or offense is taken.

Per the instructions, if you accept a hit with a conversation already started you need to return it or risk rejection.
