a few days off will probably do wonders mentally.

It shouldn't be all that much, its basically the equivalent of a difficult oil change. Its just the labor that could hurt if they decide to be slow about it. And yesh i can't wait for the trip, its nice to have something to look forward to.

I've got my truck in the shop today to finish up its last bit of maintenance that i didn't want to do myself (servicing the rear differential), crossing my fingers that it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I did manage to get the truck up to 20mpg according to my last fill up, and thats even with running the a/c which i've been doing alot lately. Wanted to go ahead and get all this done and get her in good shape before my trip at the end of next month (the first time i'll actually take a few days off of mturk since i started last year).

Our Jeep needs some work, I can do the shocks, spark plugs, brakes, and whatnot. But the wife says we need new ball bearings and once she explained that process, I was like yeah... maybe we should take it in for that one lol.

yeah. that's part of the reason i keep booking baseball games 2-3 weeks a part. gives me something small to look forward to
a mini-distraction from reality
