Mine is $1M all-expenses paid for the hassle of my anxiety stress and to get there and back.$3k isn't that much. It's not enough to get me on a plane, which I have an intense fear of, to go to some place that I've never had any desire to visit. Make it $10k and I'll consider it.![]()
I'd take that riskMine is $1M all-expenses paid for the hassle of my anxiety stress and to get there and back.
Well, I hope you're not actually trying to do that. I was just being silly (which doesn't happen that often14 is a lot
I don't give a damn about DR. for $3,000.oo, the only place I won't go is North Korea lolWell, I think a lot of us responded with no because we just had no desire to go there in the first place.![]()
I don't even have friends in the USIn all seriousness, people should really travel more. A pretty high % of Americans never leave the country in their lifetime, which is a pretty big wasted opportunity. Most peoples' impressions of places they haven't ever been to are totally flawed, because they're largely based on news events which highlight the abnormal much more than the normal.
Travelling is expensive, but if you know someone where you're going, it knocks a huge amount off the cost. Having a friend or relative also allows you to check out all the good places instead of just the touristy spots full of people trying to sell you overpriced junk. That wouldn't be a very realistic plan for most people a generation ago, but I bet a majority of adults born after 1980 have longtime friends outside of the US.
apparently some guy who got offered 1500 by some star pro hockey player on a plane the other day.Who doesn't want large sums of free money though?
First thing reporters need to understand is we don't give out info for free.Hi all. Sorry to clog up your feed with non-work related stuff, but admins suggested would be the best place to get eyes on my request.
I'm a freelance journalist writing a story about the hidden forms of labour powering a lot of today's high tech services. I know much of this work is done by turkers and so I was hoping to find people who might be willing to speak with me about the nature of their work.
The article is part of a series on how working life is changing in the modern world so I'm really interested to find out what the day to day life of a turker is like, how they feel about their jobs and why they do it. The article will deal with some of the problems with how the crowd work industry and other forms of invisible digital labour currently operate, but I also want explore whether this more flexible way of working can teach us something about how to better organise the future of work.
If you want more information please ask away. Would be great to speak to people on the record, but happy for it to be anonymous if required. If anyone's happy to help please reply here or drop me a DM. I've also started a thread on the Social Discussion forum in case that's a more convenient place to discuss this. Thanks!
Very well put, sir. There are also far too many of us that haven't seen some "other" part of our extraordinary country. I was lucky enough to be an Army brat and my Dad was stationed all over the place.I don't even have friends in the US![]()

I took a cruise to mexico when I was 12 and was sweating like crazy getting back over the border because I had bought back 4 pairs of brass knuckles with me. Did the first one and 80 examples didn't even play for me. I let the researcher know and they thanked me. Caught this one as well and for the first time ever was not allowed to proceed after the initial "test." I was very confident in my answers and it was easy as always. Hoping they didn't "block" me thinking the 80 clips that were silent were a problem on my side.Caught the Long Tone Detection Experiment - Up to $12.50 BONUS possible for a total of $12.75 in 1-1.5 hours
