I always figured the HIT posts at least help newer turkers that might not be that comfortable with finding their own HITs, but I'm curious about how many of the veterans still get use out of them. Also, with tools like TurkerView, that show HIT times right on the HITs, I was wondering if people still find the times posted here useful.

the problem I have - I like seeing the HIT posts here from people who think the HIT is post-worthy (even though I have Hit Finder running) but it seems whenever I add something from here to Hit Catcher, I never catch it (while I have a much higher catch percentage popping them into HC directly from Hit Finder).

When I do the Hit Finder->Hit Catcher, I lack the time reports that I see here to let me know if I can expect a nice 5-10 minute survey or if it's going to be an excruciating 30-60 minutes.

so hit postings/hit timings are good and bad in certain ways.
