Ah, no. I don't care how much you pay for it. You are not getting my private info from my fitbit. Just no.

Fitness trackers have always seemed kind of scammy to me.

I don't really see how any of their features help that much to make you more healthy. And they are too expensive.
Mine was a gift. I usually just go by the number of steps on my phone now which works fine.

I liked mine to monitor my heartrate and flights when I was hiking a lot.

I could see how that could be interesting to track. But it wouldn't be $150 worth of interesting for me (and you are doing the hike in either case, so no real health benefit.)

Maybe if people found enough motivation in tracking the stats that they went on more hikes it would be worth the money.

If you're competitive and join fitbit groups, I could see how it could encourage you to be more active.

I'm weird and not keen on the idea of the thing being strapped to me constantly ?‍♀

They're fun if you're in group challenges though. It's always motivating to me to put in an extra walk, if someone is gaining on me, especially if it's ChrisTurk @ChrisTurk lol

I love mine. especially with line dancing, I love to see how hard i go. HR monitor too. Helps track HR on runs.

On winter days where I move only 3000 steps versus nicer day where im outside and dance and get upto 30k steps, it is nice to see.

mine was free with a study i'm in, but yeah, it does tell me how many miles and steps i walk every day but even increasing that does nothing for my weight loss.
