As I understand this: put marshmallows in microwave, marshmallows explode, scrape marshmallows off inside walls of microwave and they'll be crunchy. Right. I got it.

Marshmallows are not real food and should be only eaten when melted and mixed with superior ingredients.

Microwave finishes, they start to collapse in to a heap on the plate. Wait a few mins for it to cool and then peel off the plate and eat. Marshmallow yummyness with a tender crunch.

I must be a freak I prefer to eat marshmallows this way.
