It's nice to know that I can't get rid of my Amazon payments account, since they use it to verify my identity for Mturk. So I'll have to remember to check in to Amazon payments every once in awhile to make sure everything is up to date.

We are writing to let you know that there is a new simplified Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk) payment transfer option available. This new option will enable you to have your MTurk payments deposited directly into your US bank account on a regular schedule.

Once you begin this process, you will no longer be able to transfer your MTurk payments to Amazon Payments. Note that the Amazon Payments transfer option will be discontinued for all Workers on January 15, 2020, at which point you will be required to choose a payments transfer option and select a transfer schedule if you haven't already.

To get started, go to the Manage Payment Preferences tab on your Dashboard, confirm or update your bank account information, and select the payment schedule that works for you. If you have been transferring to a US bank account through Amazon Payments, we have imported your banking details as a courtesy. In order to change your US bank account information, you will need your Routing Number and Account Number. If you update your US bank account information, your MTurk account name and your bank account holder name must match exactly.

Once you've selected a schedule, you can see the next scheduled payment on the Overview tab of the Dashboard, under Available Payments. Note that there is a one-day delay from the time a task is approved to when it is included in your transferable payments total, and there may be additional delays depending on the policies of your financial institution of choice, check with your financial institution for details.

If you'd like to transfer payments through Amazon Gift Cards, go to the Manage Payment Preferences tab on your Dashboard and select Transfer to your Amazon Gift Card Balance.

Please note that we will continue to use your Amazon Payments account as a means to validate your identity. If you delete your Amazon Payments account, it will impact your MTurk Worker account.
