Three month Newbie here. I suddenly am questioning myself about Returning or Abandoning a HIT under a certain circumstance. Would really appreciate advice from you all. Here is the circumstance example: I take a survey HIT, but on the first page it says:

Experiment not available
This experiment is currently full.
Please return the HIT so as not to affect your MTurk reputation.

My question is this. Is it better to Return, or Abandon (let the clock run out) in this case if I want a chance to catch it again to do the survey? Would this apply to all surveys or only some based on the way the Requester formats them?

I "had" thought it was better to Abandon, but as I said above -- am questioning my thinking on this. Did several searches to find an answer, but nothing came up.

There is no difference or impact, and best to just return it (for various reasons) instead of intentionally letting the clock run down. There used to be a qualification but that is no longer in play and doubt it would impact you much if it did sprout up. I would not be concerned either way just return them, so others can snag it perhaps.
