Okay so now that I'm over 1000 approved HITs I just keep going through the list of HITs I'm not qualified for and requesting as many qualifications as I can. Is that a good way to do it?

That's mostly a waste of time.

Watch for surveys/batches that allow you to take a qual test directly then and there but requesting something is pointless 99%+ of the time.

Most misleading/unintuitive thing about mturk. Confuses 100% of new turkers. Should have been improved years ago.

Quals can drop morning, evening, midnight, afternoon, midday etc... It all depends if you're on when that moneymaking qual drops. There's no solid answer to your question , just gotta be there at the right time when a qual is released
