I responded and disputed the rejection in the kindest way I'm capable of given the circumstances. I wanted to go nuclear but I never do.

I usually save going nuclear for when they reply to me and tell me that they are standing pat on the rejection even though I make a good point in my argument.

This might not be the most tactful thing, but when I see a bullshit reason for being rejected I tend to go nuclear right away

something like "I take great pride in my work and I find it insulting you think I did not pay attention to your task. I have spent years building a great number of HITs submitted with over a 99% acceptance rate and I am appalled you think the quality of work I gave for you is somehow below your expectations. I'd greatly appreciate if you reconsidered this and actually looked at my work. Until then, unfortunately, my review of you on all major turk review sites will reflect exactly how I feel of you as a requester"

Most times I've had it overturned.

If they give a specific reason for rejecting, I usually send a much kinder message asking what I can do to make the situation right.
